Meteor Travel - (DivX)

- The travel of a meteor from the space to the impact with the Earth. I used Houdini for the two first shots and Max to create the final impact. Composition in Fusion.

Sun - (DivX)

- A shot with the camera flying near the sun. Made in Houdini and Fusion. Didn't take me too much time.

Maelstrom - (DivX)

- This scene is inspired in the Maelstrom sequence from Pirates of the Caribbean 3. I used Houdini to animate the whirlpool and the shader was created using VOPs. The Foam is a chain of procedural noises. I added the final retouches with Fusion.

Road Destruction - (DivX) - Selected for Houdini 9 reel

- Destruction scene using Houdini and Fusion. The background image is a little matte painting.

Tornado - (DivX) - Selected for Houdini 9 reel

- New tornado. The tornado and the dust elements were made using sprites in Houdini with a procedural VOP shader. Composited in Fusion.

Sprite Meteor - (DivX)

- A meteor impact made using Houdini. I used sprites to render all the elements.

Rain System - (Cinepak)

- A system to simulate rain colliding with surfaces in Houdini. The friction and more values can be controlled by painted surface attributes.

Impact System Demo - (DivX)

- Video showing a system done in Houdini to generate procedural bullet impacts in surfaces, with dust and debris. You also can watch a live action integration Here.

Golden Gate Destruction - (DivX)

- Destruction of the Golden Gate bridge using Houdini, inspired in The Core.

City Tornado - (Cinepak)

- The environment of this scene is a matte paint that I made with two pictures I found in the web. The tornado was done with Houdini particles and 3ds max' AfterBurn volumetric renderer.

Ice Chunks - (DivX)

- In this scene I've developed a system to drive and rotate the chunks based on the water surface in Houdini. Inspired in The cronicles of Narnia: The lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

Missiles - (Cinepak)

- A quick scene with AfterBurn volumetrics.

Shattered! - (Cinepak)

- This scene was inspired in "shattered" powerade commercial from Digital Domain. I broke the model in more than 100 pieces to do the simulation in Houdini.

Explosion - (Cinepak)

- A simple explosion done with 3ds max' AfterBurn volumetrics.
